Developing a manuscript for publication is no easy task, it involves cooperation and coordination from all stakeholders in addition to specific knowledge about publication style, research methods (including statistics), as well as the appropriate representation and visualization of your study’s results (outcomes).
This session is meant to outline the process of developing a manuscript for publication from a CE program, detailing both the rewards and pitfalls therein. After outlining best-practices for publication, in a step-by-step manner, we will troubleshoot common barriers to manuscript acceptance including: writing style, focus, audience, journal selection, authorship, referencing styles, and interpreting editor feedback.
Following participation in this session, attendees will have a clear understanding of the necessary elements for manuscript development, how to translate your CE program’s outcomes into a publication-ready manuscript, and common mistakes and misunderstandings prior to manuscript acceptance for publication.
- Upon session completion, participants will be able to identify CE programs that are appropriate for publication
- Upon session completion, participants will be able to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders to plan and develop a manuscript that accurately reflects the strengths of the educational program
- Upon completion, participants will be able to define the necessary components of manuscript construction
