Session Description
Co-creating medical education with patients and their families can be challenging, but beneficial to plan, coordinate and implement. Condition limitations, population access, and resource availability make it difficult for the patient/family to co-produce medical education with Continuing Medical Education (CME) professionals. Co-creation barriers can be lessened with the development of a customized recruitment process, tools to match skills with roles, and strategies to sustain patient/family engagement. In this interactive session, learners will receive strategies and tools to develop their own customized recruitment process and engagement opportunities to grant patients/families the opportunity to drive meaningful and measurable medical education outcomes.
