This learning experience will be presented by a current clinician who has demonstrated success in reducing vascular catheter related complications at her facility by incorporating improvements to the catheter insertion bundle. Evidence for the use of improved components in the insertion bundle will be supported by examining the evidence around common colonization pathways (gaps) and risks that the current modern insertion bundle does not address.
