Are We Sure? Peripheral Administration Outcomes of Vancomycin and Non-cytotoxic Vesicant Drugs

Saturday, September 15
12:00 PM - 1:15 PM
Location: Union Station Ballrooms A & B

Have recent guideline changes and mixed literature results on peripheral administration of medications changed your vascular device selections in recent years? Are you curious about the effects on intravascular health? Learn about the outcomes from a recent, prospective study led by Marcia Ryder, PhD, MSN, RN. As the primary investigator exploring the associations of varying concentrations of Vancomycin and properties of osmolarity and pH, she will share the intravascular and perivascular physiological responses of the matrix of testing. The results may change your approach of vascular device selection decision making.
