A Collaborative and Solutions-focused Approach to Improved Vascular Access Outcomes

Monday, September 17
3:45 PM - 4:15 PM
Location: Room C160

Change in policy, practice or product in the vascular access management process can have an impact on clinical outcomes. However, without pertinent baseline data to accurately measure that change effort, the amount and significance of the impact may remain elusive or unknown. This presentation will review several case studies from large healthcare systems that used vendor partnering and a solutions-focused approach to vascular access management. It will also discuss how through this comprehensive, collaborative process they were able to obtain tangible and quantifiable improvements in clinical efficiencies, compliance to guidelines, standardized care and patient outcomes.
