Jeanine Moorhead is a RRT/VAS for the past 34 years, and involved in hymodynamic monitoring and vascular access during this time. She is currently a Vascular Access Specialist, and First Assist Scrub in the Cath Lab / IR at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She is the current Vice President of AzVAN (Arizona Vascular Access Network). She has been co-author on articles with topics related to vascular access. Along with co-author on course writings with Advanced Hemodynamic. Jeanine has joined the D-Team with AVA this past year.

Constance Girgenti, BSN, RN, VA-BC has been a nurse for over 20 years, specializing in the NICU and Vascular Access. She is currently the National Clinical Educator for Vygon USA and a Vascular Access Specialist at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. She currently places midlines, PICCs, CVCs, Mid-thigh femoral PICC, arterial catheters, and assists with problem-solving catheter-related issues. She has placed over 10,000 PICCs in her career. Connie was a founding member of the Illinois Vascular Access Network. She has published several articles on topics related to vascular access and speaks at various local, regional, national and international conferences on topics related to vascular access.

Connie was one of the first AVA 2016 "Impact Award" winners and continues to be involved in many AVA committees. She is a driving force behind data collection for the vascular access specialty.

Lorri Jameson holds her Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis on education as well as being board certified in Vascular Access. She is the Associate Nurse Manager for a full service Vascular Access Team at UCHealth Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. She has thirteen years’ experience as a Vascular Access Specialist. Lorri is currently a member of the D team for the Association for Vascular Access. She has co-authored a peer reviewed article related to vascular access which was published in The Journal of the Association for Vascular Access as well as presenting a poster at a previous Association for Vascular Access Annual Scientific Meeting.

Paula Lamagna has been a RN at Boston Children's Hospital for 35 years, involved in vascular access for 20 years. She is the Education Coordinator for the Vascular Access Team. In addition to placing PICC Lines and problem solving complications related to catheters she has developed and oversees competency based orientation including Ultrasound Peripheral IV'S, ECG tip location, products related to neonatal and pediatric IV access, Infection Control prevention, and skin complications in complex patients with vascular access devices. A member of Pedisig, she worked on the survey for "Million Pokes" compaign, was an author on the Best Practice Guidelines in the Care and Maintenance of Pediatric Central Venous Catheters 2nd edition. She presented educational topics at local & national level for AVA and INS. She is an Education Consultant for TCX with PICC line placement and trouble shooting as well as Interrad Medical for education needs with securement devices.

Todd Schimmel, BSN,RN,VA-BC

Childrens Hospital of the Kings Daughter's

William Todd Schimmel graduated from Marshall University in 2001, with a dual major in both Nursing and Biology. He is currently working at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia, with his focus since 2014 being Vascular Access. He most recently became Vascular Access Board Certified in the summer of 2018. Todd’s past experience has ranged from running West Virginia’s only Burn Unit, for a solid 12 years to being the Former Director of Women’s and Children’s Services at another local hospital in the Hampton Roads region. He has been involved in several research studies and trials in the burn industry as well as several SPS projects throughout his current tenure at CHKD, including an overall study and reduction of NICU CLABSI’s. In 2011, Todd was awarded an ASPR Grant and was able to renew this grant in 2012 to continue hIs work with Homeland Security.
