Jodi Stump has been a nurse for 28 years, but prior to that she was a Petty Officer in the United States Coast Guard. Her passion in vascular access began 15 years ago when she was introduced to the procedure of placing PICC lines by an Interventional Radiologist in Leesburg FL. From there she became part of a new team of nurses placing PICC lines at bedside. She is currently the Charge Nurse of The Vascular Access Team at Central Florida Health and works closely with the education and infection prevention teams at both Leesburg and The Villages. In 2017 Jodi was awarded Patient Safety Champion for The Villages Regional Hospital for her dedication to preventing CLABSI’s and working with the staff to bring awareness of best practices with vascular access. She served as President of FLAVAN for 3 years and continues to excel in vascular access and an expert.
