Dr. Elizabeth Sharpe is a neonatal nurse practitioner, vascular access specialist, and Associate Professor of Clinical Nursing at The Ohio State University. She is the coauthor of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN) Guideline for Practice: Neonatal Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters, 3rd Edition, and a globally respected expert and author. Dr. Sharpe serves on the National Association of Neonatal Nurses Board of Directors, and has served on the Pediatric Special Interest Group Advisory Board and Vascular Access Certification Corporation Board. Dr. Sharpe was honored to be named the 1st Janet Pettit Scholar by the Association for Vascular Access in 2014, and is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the National Academies of Practice.
