Location: C151
Presentation CE Credits: 1

AVA, NHIA, INS, Oley Foundation and several other associations created a Patient Education Tool to be used for post-acute care patients who are new to central lines. This session will discuss the collaborative effort in the context of the Continuum of Care Special Interest Group (ConSIG). The goal is to help standardize and then empower patients on what they can expect regarding assessment, insertion, care, maintenance and removal of these devices. Patients were included from the onset in the development of this tool. Further collaborations will result in developing a tool for the long term use of post acute care central lines.
