Personal, professional and industrial growth can be achieved when clinicians, physicians, infection preventionist, industry partners and other healthcare providers come together and share information. The presenters share their experiences in developing an AVA network and how networking has affect their professional lives. Most importantly, they will illustrate how networking can benefit you.

Jeff has worked at the bedside in vascular access and industry as an educator for the last decade. His passion for vascular access has driven him to the relentless pursuit to expand the vascular access field. Through networking and building a local AVA network, Jeff has seen a great evolution in his career and would like to share his successes.

Since 1993 Matt Gibson has worked in an area of nursing where vascular access was a primary and essential skill. Emergency department, ICU/telemetry, house supervisor, home infusion and long term care vascular access team. In 2000 he realized his passion for vascular access and decided to seek out full time opportunities. Over the last decade Matt has served national and local vascular access organizations, assumed leadership positions in multiple committees as resident advisor and authored the Detective Dane Chronicles. Currently, Matt works with multiple organizations as a vascular access consultant and speaker for various organizations. Matt is certified registered nurse infusion, vascular access board certified and certified PICC ultrasound user. His commitment to vascular access is steadfast by serving of the AVA PIV task force. Matt is the Chief Executive Officer of Vascular Access Consulting, LLC, the past president and founder of the KIVAN and current president of MIVAN.
