When everything goes well during a line placement and the follow up, it makes us all feel so good. But what happen when it doesn't? Most of practices and procedures are safe when following the evidence based recommendations, but even in those cases something can go wrong (human factor, patient's comorbidity and so on). What can we do? analyze, understand, improve if needed and keep on working! We want to highlight that mistakes occurs and side effects too, by sharing some complex cases we have had through the years and focusing the topic on the lesson learned from each side effect, complication or mistake.
Learning Objectives:
- understand how particular is every single case we have to deal with
- focus the attention on the positive critical thinking of our mistakes during the practice
- gently increase our perception that mistakes occurs and we need to be prepare for that
