Lori Brown received her BSN in 1985 is currently working on her MSN in Education. She has worked in many areas of nursing but for the past 10 years has exclusively worked in vascular access. Currently, she is one of two Nurse Clinicians for Northside Hospital in Atlanta encompassing three campuses. Northside has approximately 1000 licensed beds and is still growing. With IV Teams and PICC nurses at each location, needless to say they are busy! As the Clinician she works both clinically at the bedside training the IV team and as an Educator in the classroom. She assisted with the development of and is a presenter of "IV University" at Northside. IV University is a six hour class offered quaterly to all nursing staff that brings together Infection Prevention and Best Practice in Vascular Access.
