Gaston E. Cartagena has more than 24 years of experience working in biomedical research, pharmaceutical science and academic education. His qualifications are Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Pharmacology from the University of Chile. Furthermore, he has also completed the Acute and Chronic Wounds Management and IV Therapy Program at the MD Anderson Cancer Research Center in Houston, Texas, and participated as speaker in numerous conferences and seminars related to vascular access and skin integrity prevention strategies in USA, Europe, Asia and Latin America. Gaston has several international publications in peer-review journals related to subjects on his area of expertise. Currently, he works as Global Scientific Affairs Manager at Critical and Chronic Care Solutions Division, 3M Company.
