Every day, hundred and thousands of children and their family rely on CVADs, many for their entire life span. They need their line for nutrition, for treatment, for living - in hospital and in the home. Interdisciplinary clinicians advocate and care for these children. But what is it like from the perspective of the child and the family? This presentation will focus on their perspective. It premieres an observational, mixed-methods study, to demonstrate the pediatric vascular access journey across interviews and time. This is the perspective that should be at the center of our vascular access practice every day.

Demonstrate an appreciation for the role of vascular access in a child and families life
Identify opportunities for improvements and innovations for vascular access, across health institutions
