This session will assist vascular access clinicians with creating their own value proposition of their impact both as an individual professional and also to the broader healthcare organization that is tied to clinical outcomes, improved patient satisfaction, and reduced costs of healthcare delivery. Vascular Access clinicians play an instrumental and universal role in the care of patients across the entire continuum of care. Building competency within the vascular access workforce through professional advancements such as board certification, continuing education, and on the job training is necessary to meet the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's approach to Perfect Care, Every Time, for Every Patient. This session will aim to tie the clinical specialty of vascular access directly back to organizational healthcare quality improvement, clinical engagement and advancement of the profession, and improved patient satisfaction. Only through professional advancement and documented improved clinical outcomes will every patient in every facility be able to benefit from the expertise of a board-certified vascular access specialist.
