AVA is hosting the 32nd Annual Scientific Meeting in Columbus, OH!
Columbus, also known as "The Discovery City," is overflowing with attractions to capture the interests of its visitors. Among them include art galleries and boutiques, shopping both downtown and just a short drive away, a critically acclaimed zoo and aquarium, casinos, historical locations and sporting venues.
After spending your day at the conference, we encourage you to take full advantage of the numerous options within walking distance of the Greater Columbus Convention Center and Hilton Columbus Downtown.
DINING After a day of exploring, sit down and enjoy a fabulous meal at one of Columbus’s top restaurants along High Street in the Short North. Owners can ill afford to provide anything short of a spectacular dining experience if they hope to stay relevant on this prestigious piece of real estate. A few suggestions:
Check out the available green spaces at Goodale, Poplar and Italian Village Parks. Take a leisurely stroll, or park yourself on a bench to take in some fresh air. See the Columbus skyline from a different perspective on the freshly renovated Scioto Mile before visiting COSI, Columbus's hands-on and nationally-rated science center.
Is live music more your scene? Columbus has that, too. Visit Express Live! for a concert, check out an open mic night at a bar in the Short North or sit on a restaurant patio and take in the sounds of an evening in the city.
TRANSPORTATION Don't feel like hoofing it as you take in Columbus? Hop on CBUS, a FREE downtown Columbus circulator that runs every 10-15 minutes from the Short North Arts District to the Brewery District.
