In this session, experts will update attendees on recent changes in the U.S. tax code as it relates to personal income, estate planning and charitable giving. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 is the largest reform of the individual and corporate tax code in 30 years and has broad reaching implications for financial planning. Strategies to address the changes in tax law will be discussed, including selecting the most tax efficient investments, evaluating current retirement plans, and planning charitable giving. Special attention will be focused on the continuing benefits of supporting non-profit organizations such as the Radiation Oncology Institute (ROI) and the advantages of various giving mechanisms like donor advised funds, trusts, bequests and IRA charitable contributions. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet individually with one of the experts following the session at designated times.
