In this session, we will discuss common Head and Neck cancer presentations treated with definitive/post operative radiation. We will discuss coverage of specific nodal volumes based on evidence and published guidelines. We will also discuss coverage of non-nodal regions at risk related to the primary cancer. Contours demonstrating these concepts will be discussed with attention to maximizing coverage and minimizing normal tissue toxicity. We will discuss the future course of nodal coverage with regards to upcoming clinical trials particularly focused on low risk HPV related oropharynx cancer.
- Describe standard nodal regions at risk for common Head and Neck cancer presentations.
- Describe standard non-nodal elective coverage around the primary lesion.
