Team Excellence – Live Case Studies
The team successfully carried out a transformation model in a production line of its leading oil product in the consumer market for a multinational company, using the Lean Six Sigma methodology and focusing on the values of customer orientation, teamwork , integrity, and creativity and innovation. The project exceeded expected objectives, achieving reductions in 75 percent of quality defects, 18 percent of customer rejections, and 57 percent of downtime, as well as the establishment of new controls and processes through improvements implemented. The team ensured that changes were permeated in the culture of line employees and the organization to ensure progress sustainability. The Lean Six Sigma approach and the A3 methodology along with tools such as 5S, poka-yokes, FMEA, VSM, ANOVA, Pareto, and R&R served to identify recommendations and evaluate them, resulting in 14 implemented solutions through which a tangible savings of $500,000 was obtained from standardizations, new reliable detection systems, changes in maintenance formats, and acquisitions of new equipment.
