Concurrent Session

M03 - Design Business Systems to Support Sustainable Continuous Improvement

Monday, April 30
12:15 PM - 1:15 PM
Location: WSCC Ballroom 6B

Level: Intermediate

Most organizations have business systems (e.g., enterprise resource planning) supporting their organization to manage how the incoming materials are transformed to outgoing products (or results). The business systems instruct and track this transformation through all businesses processes. Whether in healthcare, service, or manufacturing, all organizations have processes that produce results which meet customer needs, need rework, or are scrapped. Most organizations overlook the value of designing business systems that support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives. This session will lay out a strategy for developing the most synergy between your business systems and your CI initiatives. It will explore the specifics of a defined process, the key areas in your business systems, and how to align processes with them to provide sustainable key results for your CI journey.
