Monday, April 30
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM
Location: WSCC 2AB

Level: Basic

Through the efforts of multiple rounds of improvement led by amazing medical practitioners, this presentation shows how a team in an emergency department (ED) utilized continuous improvement and quality tools to drive breakthrough patient capacity. Specifically, the most depressing metric in the ED—left without being seen (LWBS)—is driven to a breakthrough level of zero through innovative improvements throughout the ED and ancillary processes. In this journey, this nonprofit hospital sees success as driving up their capacity to treat people. You will walk away inspired and ready to tackle the tough issues in your organization after seeing this inspiring success.
