Craig Plain, PhD, has over 20 years’ experience in process improvement and training. He’s also an author, award winning speaker, and an amateur cartoonist. Craig has done Master Black Belt work, leading international transformation initiatives. He’s also facilitated events at all levels: from enterprise wide transformation, to shop floor kaizens. He’s done over 200 improvement events for General Electric, US Air Force, US Navy, and other organizations.
Craig’s been involved with training even longer, having started in fourth grade when he began teaching art projects to classmates. After college, he earned his commission in the Air Force where several of his training programs were adopted throughout the service. This included a unique class that combined teaching the tenets of Process Improvement with hands on exercises that left students with a prioritized list of future improvement projects. Craig has been involved in training development and delivery at several Fortune 100 companies, the military, and universities. Craig has presented conferences for International Society for Process Improvement (ISPI), Academy of Human Research Development (AHRD), and American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE).
