Michael Gera is a Partner with the Healthcare Computer Training Group, an Information Technology Training firm based in New York City. He is a graduate of Montclair State University (BA) and Florida State University (MS). Since 1982, he has worked in hospitals in New York, New Jersey, and Florida in a variety of technical and administrative capacities. He has conducted numerous technical training programs for a wide variety of healthcare professional associations, including HFMA, AAHAM, AAPC, AHIMA, APIC, ASHM, NJHA and other professional organizations. The focus of his business is to help healthcare organizations maximize their use of the Microsoft Office platform to better integrate and align clinical and financial operations. He also teaches courses in health informatics at the City University of New York (CUNY) and Rutgers University.

Jessalynn (White) Henney, M.S., Pharm.D.

Dr. Jessalynn Henney (White), PharmD currently serves as the Director, Pharmacy Medication Safety at Community Health Network. Prior to joining this Indianapolis, Indiana based hospital system, which consist of 6 hospitals, 4 cancer centers, and over 200 ambulatory care clinics, she received her doctorate of pharmacy from Purdue University and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at Columbus Regional Health in Columbus, IN followed by a PGY2 Medication Safety Specialty residency at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA. She currently co-chairs the Indianapolis Coalition for Patient Safety (ICPS) Medication Safety workgroup, and is member of the ICPS Contrast Media and Executive workgroups.

Pertinent research and current practice initiatives: trigger tools, advising medication-related Root Cause Analysis (RCA) teams, importance of storytelling, therapeutic duplication, alert fatigue, and percepting students
