Kiesha C. Pierre, MS

Graduate Research Assistant
University of South Florida

Kiesha Pierre is a third year doctoral student and graduate research assistant studying Environmental Engineering at the University of South Florida. Her research interest is applying Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to solve environmental engineering problems. Her dissertation topic uses CFD to understand the dynamics in an oxidation ditch to improve its treatment efficiency. An oxidation ditch is a biological unit process that utilizes microorganisms to remove organic matter and nitrogen from wastewater. Her co-major professors are Dr. Andres Tejada Martinez, Associate Professor and Dr. Aydin Sunol, Professor at the University of South Florida.
