Pablo Ortiz is an Environmental Engineer graduated from the Jesuit University of Guadalajara (ITESO), Mexico. Currently, he is under a scholarship from the Mexican Government for pursuing his Ph.D. in Hydrologic Sciences at the University of California, Davis. He is interested in Integrated Water Resources Management with a particular focus on Environmental Flows. His area of interest is the Rio Grande/Rio Bravo Basin. The question he wants to answer is "How can water resources be managed to provide water for the preservation and restoration of aquatic and riparian ecosystems without negatively affecting current and future urban, agriculture, and recreational water uses, and without increasing flood risk?"
