Engineering applications of fractional integration and differentiation in literature have increased in the last decade. Recently, dimensionally consistent governing equations of transient soil water flow and soil water flux in fractional time and fractional multiple space dimensions in anisotropic media were reported (doi:10.5194/hess-21-1547-2017). This presentation will focus on the numerical solution techniques of the proposed fractional governing equations and report preliminary results of the numerical simulations with emphasis on the nonlocality in time and space.
