Xiufeng Yang is a metocean and coastal engineer in the Offshore and Marine Engineering Group at Chevron Energy Technology Company in Houston. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BSc degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His academic training and work experience have spanned the fields of metocean, naval architecture, ocean and coastal engineering. His responsibilities at Chevron include supporting the company’s offshore and coastal projects and conducting research associated with metocean conditions. Throughout his career, he has co-authored several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on ocean energy, marine dynamics and coastal processes. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas.
