Delft University of Technology
After finishing my MSc. in Hydraulic Engineering at Delft University of Technology in 2010, I started working as a consultant at HKV Consultants. In 2014, I started my PhD research at TU Delft, focusing on flood risk reduction by vegetated foreshores, such as salt marshes and mangrove forests. My research involved wave measurements in the field, numerical modelling of wave propagation over vegetation fields and stem breakage of vegetation, and probabilistic modelling of dike safety. I am currently finalizing my thesis, and started working as a part-time post-doc, besides my job as expert at HKV Consultants.
