Dipl.-Ing. Jessica Kelln is a PhD Student and a research associate of the “mean sea level” group at the Research Institute for Water and Environment from the University of Siegen. She received her Diploma in civil engineering with the specification hydraulic engineering and water management at the University of Siegen in 2012. Her research deals with reconstructing historic tide gauge data, sea level change on a local scale, processes of coastal sea level variability and separating natural and antropogenic mean sea level change forcing factors. Actually she is working on the research project “AMSeL Baltic Sea - Analysis of high-resolution water level records and determination of MSL and of extreme water levels at the southern and southwestern Baltic Coast” (funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research BMBF).
