Mr. Salcedo serves as a Coastal Engineer for the Western Hemisphere for Mott MacDonald, a global consultancy with over 16,000 staff. Mr. Salcedo has over 8 years of professional experience and knowledge in the field of computational fluid dynamics in applications of coastal, hydraulic, and ocean engineering.
The processes Mr. Salcedo has simulated and analyzed entail hydraulics, tidal and estuary circulation, swell and wind waves, tsunamis, rivers, hydrology, sediment transport, morphology, and structural loading. He has extensive use in many models including but not limited to ADCIRC, SWAN, SELFE, DELFT3D, MIKE21 and has contributed to the development of in-house models including VHLU. Mr. Salcedo has also many years of experience particularly in passing vessel wakes and long waves, static/dynamic mooring, ship maneuvering and berthing, dredging, propeller wash, scour protection, and shoreline protection. Mr. Salcedo also has basic knowledge in many statistical methods, empirical formulas, as well as data science and analysis.
