Scott Baker, M.A.Sc., P.Eng., Research Engineer at the National Research Council of Canada.
Mr. Baker is a coastal engineer with over ten years of experience in civil engineering hydraulics. He is a specialist in the application of physical and numerical modelling to investigate and develop solutions for a wide variety of problems in rivers, estuaries, oceans, and coastal regions. Scott has been responsible for numerous international modelling studies to help optimize and validate the engineering design of major ports, coastal structures, offshore platforms, waterfront developments, as well as marine renewable energy technologies. He has participated in and managed a wide array of projects in the fields of wave transformation, wave loading, coastal processes and sediment transport, shore protection schemes, and port and marina development.
