Dilshan is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Clarkson University, NY. His research work focuses on understanding interaction between fluid and structures due to extreme events like tsunamis and storm surges. He is also exploring methods to increase the speed of computation of CFD solvers by using parallel algorithms and GPU computing. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
