To what extent can an historic property be preserved? This is the inevitable question for the stewards of all heritage sites at some point in time. Visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s Darwin Martin House and the Richardson Olmsted Campus, a former psychiatric hospital that has found new life, to learn about the various factors that have informed restoration vs. rehabilitation decisions, using their landscapes as case studies. The session will wrap up at Frederick Law Olmsted’s Delaware Park with a look into the past through an Augmented Reality experience that virtually restores former features of the park.
