Dear State Health Agency Leader,
On behalf of the Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP) and its local, state, and national partners, I would like to encourage you to support your Title V maternal and child health (MCH) and children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN) staff members in attending the upcoming AMCHP Annual Conference, to be held in Arlington, Va., Feb. 10-13, 2018. The theme is Staying Focused: The Enduring Commitment of MCH to Families and Outcomes.
AMCHP’s Annual Conference is a critical investment in the ongoing professional development of your MCH and CYSHCN staff. Designed in response to input from state MCH staff across the country, the conference aims to provide them with the tools they need to overcome challenges and guide your agency in achieving its goals related to protecting and improving the health of the women, children and families in your state.
As participants in the AMCHP 2018 Annual Conference, your state attendees will acquire valuable information about new federal and foundation funding for MCH programs, discuss emerging issues related to health care reform and its implementation in your state, learn how other states are tackling current economic and workforce challenges, and participate in many opportunities to collaborate, connect, share, and learn. Your state staff also have the opportunity to highlight bright spots from back home through participation in peer-reviewed workshop and poster sessions.
The AMCHP Annual Conference is the only national conference designed specifically to support the needs of state MCH professionals. We appreciate your willingness to invest the time and funding to send representatives from your team to the Conference. We firmly believe that the return on that investment will come in the form of increased capacity among your team members to improve the health and well-being of children and families in your state.
I hope you will support this opportunity for your state to participate in what will be an exceptional event. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact me.
