Symposium on the Future of Libraries
A recent Pew study found that health is the second most searched for information online. Public libraries are on the frontlines of health information needs of their communities. With a growing population over 65 and increases in chronic disease, the community need for reliable health information and programming tied to health and wellness is growing. This session will cover how to determine the health needs of your community, find local and national partners, funding, and offer sample ideas of health and wellness programs. This session is interactive so bring a pen and your thinking caps and be prepared to participate!
