Anne E. McKee is the Program Officer for Resource Sharing at the Greater Western Library Alliance (GWLA). She is the GWLA staff liaison to both the Collection Development and Resource Sharing/Document Delivery Committees. McKee received her BA in Library Science from Western Kentucky University and her M.L.S. from Indiana University, Bloomington as well as some graduate work in Folk Studies. She has had a very diverse career in librarianship including Head of Serials at two academic libraries, a former sales representative for two subscription vendors and now as a consortium officer for the past 18+ years. A former President of NASIG, Inc., McKee is a member of the Serials Review Editorial Board and is serving or has served on national/international committees, several library advisory boards, and most recently was a Working Group member for the Charlotte Initiative; an Andrew W. Mellon funded research grant. She has given numerous national/international presentations and webinars as well as being the author/coauthor of several articles, sidebars, and a book chapter. Her primary research or consulting interest is in negotiation: teaching how to negotiate and the imperative of utilizing ethical negotiations. She has the unique perspective of having written or served on several RFP/RFI committees on three fronts: a consortium officer, vendor representative, and an academic librarian.
At the start of the 2018-2019 academic year; McKee and her husband will be empty nesters. They have a son who is a junior at an in-state university and a daughter starting her freshman year at an out-of-state university. Luckily, she still has her 2 dogs on which she can shower her love and attention!!
