Reina Williams has volunteered and worked in libraries since she was 14 years old. Initially planning to pursue a professional career in art curation she graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Bachelors of Fine Art, Art History and Art Criticism. After realizing her heart was devoted to the library world she continued her education at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois graduating with a Master in Library and Information Science degree. She was a tenured library faculty member and Department Chairperson of the library at Wilbur Wright College, One of the City Colleges of Chicago until joining the Rush Library in March of 2017 as the Education Coordinator. She currently serves as a Director-at-Large on the Executive Board of the Illinois Library Association, Board liaison to the Illinois Association of College and Research Libraries, and a member of the Alumni Council of School of Information Science at Dominican University.
