Hong Ma manages and provides leadership for the Library Systems Department, which is responsible for maintenance and development of information technology infrastructure, productions, and services across the University Libraries at Loyola University Chicago. She served as Information Systems Librarian for the University of Miami libraries where She managed and supported the implementation, operation, integration and enhancement of core library systems and applications. She received both MLIS and Computer Science Master’s degree from University of Alabama. She presents and writes regularly in the library technology fields. She has been active at the Library Information Technology Association (LITA). She has been serving and chairing mutiple LITA committees, task forces and interesting groups. Examples are Forum program planning committee, Top Technology Trends Committee, membership committee, personas task force, Forum Assessment Committee, LITA bylaw and organization committee, nominating committee, HoLT (Head of Library Technology) interesting group.
