Kristin Briney is the Data Services Librarian at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she advises researchers on data management plans and data best practices. She has a PhD in chemistry and a Master’s degree in library and information studies. Kristin is an advocate for better data management and promotes best practices through her book, “Data Management for Researchers”; her blog, www.dataabinitio.com; and her own research on data policy and library data management. When not thinking about data, she drinks lots of tea, knits and sews, and enjoys being a Wisconsin transplant.
