The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has made interoperability a top priority. The IMPACT Act also mandates interoperable data elements for post-acute care providers. At same time, SNF providers are working with health care partners, such as hospitals, as well as with payers, such as Medicare Advantage Plans, to develop interoperability capacity.
