A growing number of providers across the country have engaged in risk-bearing options, including partnering with or launching Medicare Advantage (MA) Institutionalized Special Needs Plans (I-SNPs). Providers are further engaging in the health plan space to finance better care delivery for residents and benefit directly from the savings they create. During this session, attendees will learn about the current I-SNP landscape and hear from industry experts and providers partnering with other providers and/or launching their own health plans.

A dedicated healthcare professional, hands-on leader and consummate innovator, Melissa has 20 years of experience coordinating, assessing and improving senior care in New Jersey and New York City. As COO of The Allure Group, Melissa represents New York’s largest for-profit nursing home chain in Brooklyn, directly bettering the lives of over 1400 patients currently receiving care in Allure’s six premiere homes in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Best known for transforming underpreforming facilities into top tier skilled nursing facilities, she is responsible for the development of Allure's cultural and clinical programs. Melissa's teams operate innovative clinical programs utilizing the latest in technology, allowing the Allure homes to receive national recognition for Quality. In her newest endeavor, Allure is the first to bring Robotics Rehabilitation to Brooklyn, in the form of a full Robotics Rehabilitation Suite. Creating a typical Skilled Nursing Facility into a NeuroScience Center of Excellence, where the newest innovation can change the landscape the SNF market.

Marc Zimmet has 25 years of experience working in support of skilled nursing facilities on matters relating to reimbursement/regulatory compliance, market trends and strategic planning. Originally specializing in Medicare cost report preparation and appeals, Zimmet Healthcare Services Group, LLC has since grown into a leading national consultancy with nearly 60 full-time employees supporting 2,500+ SNF providers and industry stakeholders. Marc also leads the firm’s investment vehicle, Z Capital, LLC, which provides funding and development support to companies involved in SNF-centric care management and data analytics technology.

Concurrently, Marc serves as a Managing Director with Greystone’s healthcare lending group, providing transaction advisory services to SNF investors, particularly those entering new markets. Mr. Zimmet is also active in the Medicare Advantage space. He is a founding investor and Board Member of Longevity Health Plan, a multi-state Medicare Institutional Special Needs Plan approved to begin operations in 2019.
