CMS reform of requirements of participation for nursing homes implements trauma-informed care requirements in November 2019. The path to providing effective trauma-informed care can be confusing and considered complex. This session will outline what trauma-informed care is and best practices for providing trauma-informed care through knowing each person and engaging the resident, staff, family and other care partners. A panel will conclude the session with questions and discussion from the audience.
