RM-4 - Understanding the Value of the Long Term Care Community’s Engagement Within a Healthcare Coalition

Tuesday, October 9
9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
CE: NAB: 1.5 | Nurses 1.5

Health care coalitions (HCCs) bring together diverse and often competitive health care organizations with differing priorities and objectives to work together by collaborating to ensure that each member has the necessary medical equipment and supplies, real-time information, communication systems, and trained health care personnel to respond to an emergency. Healthcare coalitions are regional efforts to help each community develop healthcare system preparedness and response capabilities. Attend this session to hear from two different states—Florida and North Dakota. Their presentation will describe the rationale, processes, and tools within their models to highlight the specific benefits to long-term care in the context of a healthcare coalition.
