This panel session will give you the opportunity to hear from an array of individuals what they recommend as the top strategies for sustainable long-term recruitment. The session will leave you with actionable steps to help design a recruitment strategy for your organization that will help you meet your staffing goals.

Anna Ortigara, RN, MS, FAAN is an Organizational Change Consultant, Anna supports long term care providers to create cultures of quality of care, quality of life, and quality of jobs. Anna joins PHI after working in the fields of gerontology and long-term care for more than three decades. After beginning her career as a registered nurse,

Anna has focused her gerontological nursing career on working with elders in a variety of settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, adult day care, and home care settings. Anna is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, and the primary author of LEAP for the 21st Century LTC Workforce. She has also served as Vice President of Culture Change at Life Services Network of Illinois, Director of Residential Care Services for the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center in Chicago, and Associate Director of Long Term Care Accreditation at the Joint Commission.

Prior to joining PHI, Anna spent six years at The Green House Project, where she worked closely with PHI to adapt the PHI Coaching Approach® to fit THE Green House® Project model. She frequently appears at various national and international conferences, speaking about culture change, dementia, and other long-term care issues. A published author, Anna has contributed a chapter to the book Models and Pathways for Person-Centered Elder Care (Health Professions Press, 2013). Anna received her Master of Science in Nursing at Northern Illinois University.
