In July 2016, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) started the mandatory collection of staffing data to comply with the Affordable Care Act’s requirement for the collection of auditable and verifiable staffing data. This session provides updates on the most current developments for PBJ. Learning Objectives:
- Define Payroll Based Journal (PBJ)
- Identify the documentation required to be sent to CMS
- Describe PBJ data and how it impacts your 5 STAR rating
- Assess your readiness for a PBJ audit
- Describe new updates on PBJ
