In this ever-changing health care era, we are continually faced with new quality measures and new payment systems along with greater expectations from the public, surveyors, and policymakers. Adapting to these demands requires innovative strategies. This presentation will summarize the new measures and define the criteria you need to succeed. Internal measures and strategies will be discussed based on the new survey system as well as new payment systems. Through questions and shared dialog, we will refine the measures, strategies, and tactics needed to thrive.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify key quality measures required by Federal QRP, Impact, PAMA, and IPERA and other healthcare reform legislation
- Describe techniques to internalize and refine strategies for operations based on facility-wide assessment and publicly reported measures such as five-star
- Discuss exceeding public demand with new payment expectations for post-acute care (RCS-I and beyond)
