Bob Lane is Board Chairman of the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA), the nation’s leading professional society for post-acute and aging services administrators and is a Director with BKD, LLP, a CPA and Advisory Services firm. He has more than 36 years of health care experience, as well as more than 31 years of long-term care experience as an administrator, field trainer, Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) project manager, speaker, and consultant. Before joining BKD, Bob was the project manager for the Oklahoma QIO’s nursing home and home health task teams that successfully ramped up the settings’ seventh and eighth scope contract activities.
Bob has previously served nationally as the ACHCA District 5 Director and Vice Chair, and locally as the Oklahoma and Missouri chapter president, as well as various chapter and national committee roles. He serves on the faculty for the Administrators University managed by the Oklahoma State Board of Examiners for Long Term Care Administrators and has been an adjunct faculty member for the Saint Joseph’s College of Maine health administration program. Nationally, Bob is a member of the American Health Care Association (AHCA) Quality Improvement Committee, and the Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes’ Staff Involvement workgroup. He is a former member of the Oklahoma Alliance on Aging Board of Directors and has served as an AHCA Silver Quality Award examiner and as a member of the AHCA Quality Award Board of Overseers. Bob has spoken multiple times at ACHCA and AHCA national meetings and in more than 16 states. Bob is a 2016 graduate of the United Way of Central Oklahoma’s Board Serve program and serves as a board member and Vice President of Upward Transitions in Oklahoma City. He is a graduate of The University of Kansas, Lawrence, with a bachelor’s degree in allied health administration, and a graduate of The University of Oklahoma, Norman, with a graduate certificate in gerontology and a master’s degree in health and human services administration.
