AF-25 - The Cost of Cheating: How Test Security Benefits High-stakes Testing

Tuesday, March 20
7:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Location: Emerald 1

In a high-stakes testing environment, protecting the integrity and validity of an examination is critical. Candidates preparing to take an admission or licensure test are often unfamiliar with testing protocol and the consequences of cheating; individuals who have completed a test may intentionally or unwittingly share confidential information without understanding what that means for them both personally and professionally. Often these individuals do not even consider their actions to be "cheating." Participants will benefit from the perspectives of the session panelists, who will share compelling and realistic views on the reality of cheating, the long-term consequences and the irregularity and appeals process designed to address these behaviors.
