Until recently, technology was considered to be merely an educational resource, but now it is viewed as a learning vehicle that supports, enhances and drives education. This continues to be true with the evolution of virtual reality (VR) 360 videos, which allow students to be immersed into the content they are learning. The use of VR 360 videos has the potential to offer a richer learning environment where learners feel more connected, are able to interact with the content and have a sense of being present during the experience. This is an untapped area for dental education.
