By the year 2030, the number of older adults in the United States will be close to 20% of the population. While the older adult population is medically and dentally heterogeneous, a majority of them will transition through different levels of care (from retirement communities to memory care) and will often lack access to conventional dental care. The goal of this workshop will be to discuss different strategies and solutions from the policy stand point through dental education when treating the new older population.
